Web poker has become globally acclaimed as of late, with televised tournaments and celebrity poker game events. Its universal appeal, though, arcs back quite a bit farther than its television scores. Over the years many variations on the original poker game have been developed, including a handful of games that are not really poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is 1 of the above-mentioned games. Despite the name, Caribbean stud poker is most closely related to blackjack than long-standing poker, in that the players bet against the house rather than the other players. The succeeding hands, are the established poker hands. There is no bluffing or different kinds of concealment. In Caribbean stud poker, you are expected to ante up prior to the dealer saying "No more wagers." At that point, both you and the casino and of course all of the different gamblers attain 5 cards. Once you have observed your hand and the dealer’s first card, you have to either make a call wager or accede. The call bet’s value is on same level to your original wager, indicating that the stakes will have increased two fold. Giving Up means that your wager goes directly to the dealer. After the bet is the showdown. If the casino doesn’t have ace/king or greater, your wager is given back, plus a figure in accordance with the ante. If the house does have ace/king or better, you succeed if your hand defeats the casino’s hand. The bank pony’s up cash even with your wager and controlled expectations on your call wager. These expectations are:

  • Even for a pair or high card
  • 2-1 for two pairs
  • 3-1 for three of a kind
  • four to one for a straight
  • 5-1 for a flush
  • 7-1 for a full house
  • twenty to one for a four of a kind
  • 50-1 for a straight flush
  • 100-1 for a royal flush
