One of the more established pastimes now-a days is poker. You will watch it on TV, in video and hand held games, and also in nearby competitions at assorted community halls. If you have been thinking that you would like to master the game, but are a little afraid of the tough challengers in a live game or championships, why not try online poker gaming?

Almost all web poker betting rooms are very accepting to those just picking up the game. With a variety of tools and play choices, novices can get comfortable with their poker game ahead of putting at risk any cash placing a wager. Net poker wagering gives you all the advantages and enjoyment of the game and allows you to master the basics without risking tons of cash. There are games available with extremely low buy ins or even a few poker rooms that you will be able to bet with play chips. This gives you a chance to find out clearly how online poker gambling functions and practice your skills ahead of graduating on to higher risk games and events.

Many web poker gaming rooms even have special tutorial webpages that could help show the game of poker to novice gamblers.

Web Big Stakes Poker- Who is Gus Hansen?

Gus Hansen experienced a wonderful year on the WPT where he was the only player to achieve final table in three of the competitions. Gus Hansen has appeared on High Stakes Poker on GSN where he bought into the game for $400, 000. You might remember one of the biggest pots in high stakes poker history against Daniel Negreanu. Hansen secured a large pot with quads against Negreanu’s full house. Hansen has earned many televised poker appearances and is deemed to be one of the greatest players around the world. While betting on web poker, a different side of Hansen has emerged. He often participates in the 200/400 No Limit maximum buy in of Forty Thousand dollars. Gus more often than not buys in for the minimum of Sixteen Thousand dollars and plays very weak. He waits for a decent hand and then pushes all-in. I know Hansen is a great poker player but certainly not even close to the regular players at 200/400no limit. Unless Gus is broke, he has little or no reason to sit at the table with the min buy in.

Buying in for the min takes most of the skill out of deep stack poker. Gus is supposed to be one of the greatest players in the world but he cannot buy-in for the full amt.. I believe tv can alter our perception of the real world at times. The best poker players anywhere in the world could be players you have won’t have heard of before. Gus can be seen gambling on internet poker on Full Tilt. He normally participates in big stakes omaha high and texas holdem. Gus has shown himself as a tournament player. Can he back up his abilities in money games?
